viv run

Runs a scripts entry from the root composer.json, the same as composer run-script, on the project's PHP.

Usage

Run a script, a vendor/bin binary or a PATH command on the project's PHP

Usage: viv run [OPTIONS] [COMMAND]...

Arguments:
[COMMAND]... A script name from the root `composer.json`'s `scripts` section, a `vendor/bin` binary, or a PATH command, followed by its own arguments; omit with `--list`. viv's own flags (`-d`, `--cache-dir`, `-v`, `--offline`) only apply before this positional — after it, `viv run -d ../app phpunit --filter Foo` passes `--filter Foo` to phpunit untouched

Options:
--list List every script declared in `scripts`
-v, --verbose Raise logging to debug
      --cache-dir <CACHE_DIR> Store location (default `$XDG_CACHE_HOME/vivace`, or `~/.cache/vivace`)
  -d, --project-dir <PROJECT_DIR> Project directory holding `composer.json` [default: .]
--offline Fail fast on any request instead of connecting: install errors, naming every package not already in the store; update solves from cached repository metadata only, erroring on an uncached package. Also set by `COMPOSER_DISABLE_NETWORK` (any value but unset, empty or `0`; Composer's own git-priming `prime` value is not special-cased here, since neither `install` nor `update` touch a git source)
  -h, --help Print help

Reads and writes

  • Reads: composer.json's scripts block, vendor/bin/ (a script may invoke a package binary).
  • Writes: whatever the script itself writes.

Exit codes

  • 0 — the script ran and exited 0.
  • non-zero — the script's own exit code, passed straight through; 1 if the named script doesn't exist.
